Last waterfalls blog I promise! So our final adventure in the West was to the other side of Iguazu, the Brazilian side. This needed no faffing around with borders so it was a nice relaxing day trip before our 17 hour bus drive to Saõ Paolo in the evening.
Some people believe that waterfalls produce negative ions which increase levels of mood hormones and boost your happiness. I would invite any cynic of this theory to see the reactions of Ceca and I in Iguazu. We were told that the Argentinian side was much better than the Brazilian side so we didn’t have high hopes but it’s definitely worth the visit.
The trip is much shorter but the views are beautiful and even though we didn’t take our bikinis or raincoats this time we were happy to throw ourselves into the action 🙂 It was a wonderful sunny day and the perfect end to our Western adventure.
We really loved our time in the West of Brazil but we were also eager to get back East and nearer to our beautiful Rio. The people were slightly more conservative in the West and not nearly as naked in Rio (less eye candy overall). Besides it was time for us to have a proper beach holiday and rest our bodies before the craziness of carnaval (it’s a tough life :)). We spent a couple of hours in Saõ Paolo and then caught the first available bus to Paraty. Sun, sea and sand, here we come!
