Wild wild (south) west

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

After a relatively painful 5 hour horse riding experience in Samaipata which left us bruised and broken for days, we were reluctant to ever get on a horse again. However, having made our way south to the small town of Tupiza, the prospect of wild western scenery and the possibility of meeting a real life cowboy was too much for us to turn down. We galloped through the barren desert like crazy cowgirls singing “wanted dead or alive” between screeches and stopping only to admire the beautiful rock formations and canyons. Yes, we came out battered and bruised again (Monika had a screw up her bum most of the ride), but we didn’t care because it was exhilarating and one of the best experiences from Bolivia.

The next day, armed with our Aymara driver and Quechua cook, we set off on our 4 day tour of the south west, our last Bolivian adventure!
